PHP Website to Next.js Migration

Move from PHP to Next.js — with SEO kept in the plan, not as an afterthought. We migrate PHP websites to Next.js with a search-safe plan: every important URL mapped, redirects tested, content and metadata rebuilt, and launch verified so organic traffic is not lost to broken links.

PHP Website to Next.js Migration

What this engagement is for

A PHP-to-Next.js migration fails when it is treated as a redesign that invents new URLs. We inventory indexed pages and traffic first, rebuild templates in Next.js, move content carefully, keep or redirect every URL that matters, reconnect forms and analytics, and check indexation signals after launch. Design can improve, but SEO preservation is a first-class requirement — not a cleanup task after go-live.

Outcomes

What you leave with

We measure the work by the product decisions and assets you can use next — not by a slide deck.

01

A Next.js site with server-rendered pages search engines can read

02

A full URL and redirect map covering indexed pages

03

Metadata, canonicals, sitemap, and structured data carried over or improved

04

Forms, analytics, and critical integrations reconnected and tested

How we work

A short path from conversation to something real.

  1. 1

    Audit URLs and content

We list what ranks, what converts, and what can be retired — before any template is rewritten.

  2. 2

    Rebuild and map redirects

Pages move to Next.js in slices. Every important old URL keeps its path or gets a tested redirect.

  3. 3

    Launch and verify SEO

We watch for 404s, sitemap/indexation signals, and analytics after launch, and fix issues quickly.

Deliverables

What we produce

  • Pre-migration SEO and content audit
  • Next.js rebuild of agreed templates and pages
  • Redirects, canonicals, sitemap, and metadata implementation
  • Post-launch checks for 404s, indexation, and tracking

Questions

Before you start

No migration can guarantee rankings. Most losses come from changed URLs and missing redirects. We map important URLs, keep content equivalent, and verify redirects before and after launch.

The SEO process is similar. Custom PHP sites need a different content and routing inventory than WordPress, which we plan for in the audit.

Light visual refresh is fine. A full redesign at the same time makes it harder to diagnose any traffic change — we often migrate first, then redesign in a second phase.

Access to the PHP site, analytics and Search Console if available, hosting details, and a list of forms and integrations that must keep working.
